Ceremony

1. Roseniuskyrkan - Östermalm, quaint, stunning robin blue (see top left photo)

I’m a little biased because my husband & I had our wedding ceremony here, but it’s absolutely nothing short of enchanted. This venue offers a downstairs space for getting ready, as well as a tall-ceilinged chapel filled with natural light during the day. It’s on a quiet street not too far away from the hustle and bustle of Östermalm, perfect for anyone who wants a joy-filled, charming space in the heart of the city.

2. Oscar Terrace - Djurgården, refreshing, idyllic

Tucked away in the middle of the city’s most well-known gardens lies a stunning breath of fresh air known as Oscar Terrace. Here you’ll find a view overlooking Djurgården, and the bonus? It’s easily accessible to add chairs and all of the necessary accommodations to build and host a stunningly intimate ceremony.

3. Essinge kyrka - Stora Essingen, old-world, traditional

With a large sun-shaped glass window beaming natural light into its chapel (just above the museum-worthy pipe organ), this ceremony location offers a romantically traditional space to bring together loved ones for the start of a wedding. It’s also close enough to the city to easily hop on a bus or train and head to the reception location (without too much confusion or long travelling for guests).

Reception

1. Börssalen - Globen, industrial, fantastically eclectic

If you’re looking for a place with character, this is it. It’s not a blank slate to decorate over, but a place that acts as a full-on complement to whatever you’d like to bring in for your dinner party. It’s eclectic in the best way and full of different kinds of shapes, furnitures, and textures that’ll make any part feel like a brilliant, warm house party with your beloved.

2. Usine - Medborgarplatsen, modern, accommodating

This one was also the reception space that my husband and I used for our wedding, so I know I’m a bit biased, but this is truly a venue that isn’t talked about enough. They offer two different spaces depending on the amount of guests you’re planning on having, and just about everything (aside from the DJ and any additional decor) can be done in-house - catering, table setup, the bar… and the best part for us was the CAKE selection (we had a variety of cake flavors that we still dream about). The staff was incredibly kind and easy to work with, and absolutely everything was perfect for our crowd of 80 people. Our loved ones still rave to us about how perfect this space was!

3. The Cave - Vasastaden, colorful, party-ready

This venue offers a customizable experience for the couple who wants the focus to be on a good ol’ PARTY. With the event space already including the option of pool tables, darts, and a racing simulator, this space leans heavy into the guests getting to have an interactive, social, and somewhat gamified experience. With plenty of fun food and drinks options to choose from, having your reception and party here will be anything but boring.

Both

1. Westmanska Palatset - Norrmalm, elegant, hidden royal gem

Not too far of a walk from T-Centralen, there’s a gem of a palace somehow magically hidden away from the city hustle, even though it’s in the middle of everything. And with on-site wedding staff ready to dive in and support you with every detail, it’s a place that can make any wedding day completely seamless & elegant - starting from the walk down the aisle and ending with a heartfelt wedding exit.

2. Ekensdal - Nacka, minimalist, nautical

Not too far away from the city is a refurbished and historic factory space that has everything we love about Scandinavian design: Natural light pouring in through the large windows, simplistic minimalism, and stunning views of the water and nature surrounding every corner. Whether you want your wedding indoors, outdoors, or both, Ekensdal offers all three - so you can enjoy a charming & stunning celebration in a space that complements all four seasons.

3. Djuronäset - Djurhamn, cozy, all-inclusive

If you want your wedding day to be expanded into a weekend experience surrounded by your loved ones, this is the place for you. Even further out from Stockholm (around an hour’s drive by car) out in the stunning archipelago is a space that offers a few options for a wedding venue and accommodations to enjoy the scenery for an overnight stay. With a spa, a sauna, and plenty of breathtaking views surrounded by the water, this is easily one of the more unique spaces that Stockholm has to offer for a wedding weekend.

So, my friends - which one’s the ONE? Once your decision’s made, get in touch with us here to have a coordinator make sure your day runs seamlessly or a content creator to capture every special moment ♡

Happy venue hunting!
